On a warm, dry night the best shelter is the one that lets him see the sky. This is a single-person mesh enclosure with a sewn-in floor and a zipped door: it keeps mosquitoes and crawling things out and lets the breeze through. It has no rain fly, so on an uncertain night pair it with a tarp.
