A digital hygrometer is set into the front of the cabinet, reading through the glass. Cigars want to sit near 70 percent humidity, and the whole point of a cabinet like this is that you can check that at a glance rather than by opening it — because opening it is what changes the number. The glass door does the same job for the cigars themselves. He can see what he has without disturbing any of it.

Each finish comes two ways. The skylight versions carry a second glass panel in the lid, so the top row is visible from above when the cabinet sits low on a sideboard.
