The cast handle and two shaft sections screw together with brass fittings, and unscrew again into three pieces short enough to lie in a case. Assembled it stands about 89 centimetres.

Silver-toned and cast rather than moulded, with engraving down the collar and a small blue stone set into the eye. It is the part anyone looking at it will actually look at.
